Everything Emery {10 months}

Wow!  10 months.  That just hurts me to type double digit months.  How will I ever handle her turning 10 years old.  Let's not even talk about it.  Emery had a great month.  A few days after turning 9 months old she started crawling.  Within the month she mastered her crawling.  She crawls a few steps then sits up and plays or just leisurely crawls around the house.  She is not a fast crawler as I remember Lincoln being but more of a "stroller."  On the days that Lincoln is at home or if he is napping then she keeps crawling down the hall towards his room looking for him.  She still loves to be held - especially by momma but she is also good at playing by herself too.

Let's see what you have been up to this month:

• You wear some 9 month clothing but 12 month clothing fits you best.  You wear size 4 diapers and around a size 2 shoe. 
• You still take 2 naps a day: 9-10:30 and 1:00-3:00.  Your morning nap differs based on when you wake up in the morning.
• You still drink 4 bottles a day of formula and eat solids 3 times a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You do not turn down many solid foods.  You will gum anything down we give you.  In fact, I was eating pizza the other day and you took the crust off my plate and chewed it up pretty well.  You do eat fruits better than veggies.  You LOVE cheese.  I will put several things out on your tray (including cheese) and you push everything aside to get to the cheese.
• You continue to go through phases where you will only drink your bottle from mommy. 

• You became an expert crawler this month a few days after you turned 9 months.  
• Your hair is really filling in and it continues to have a red tint to it.  We are often asked about your hair color but when mommy was your age she had red hair too.  However, as I grew it ended up turning a white blonde.  I am anxious to see what your is going to do.
• You are working hard on getting in all four or your teeth on top but as of your 10 month birthday they have not come in yet. 

• You love to follow Lincoln around and see what he is doing. He likes to crawl with you around the house and you two love to giggle at each other. 
• You get very excited when daddy comes home from work.  If he pays attention to me or Lincoln before you then you start fussing until you get his attention. 

• You just started pulling up to furniture onto your feet
• You babble "mama" "dada" "bubbu" and "hi".  You are talking more on command.  
• You started saying "hi" and waving this month.  When you are crawling around looking for me you said "hi hi hi" over and over again.  You do this wave where you stick your arm out, palm outwards and thumb tucked in.  

• You love music and love to bounce your little torso up and down to any music
• Your favorite toys are a spoon, the xylophone, paper and your lovie

 

Here are you and Lincoln at 10 months of age.  I LOVE this age!  It is so fun to watch you explore and learn more about the world around you.  I definitely think your happy smiles resembles each other in these pictures.  We are so blessed with such happy babies.
