I am a child of the King. I am the wife to a hilariously funny, extremely considerate man of God since 2005! I am the mother to a sweet and adorable little boy, Lincoln Miles, born February 11, 2010 and a beautiful little gal who was born on April 24, 2012. I am a part time school psychology specialist and a full time mom! I find both jobs extremely stressful and tough at times but both are extremely rewarding. I blog as a way to share the blessings that God continually gives us and taking a moment to slow down and journal them. And, of course, to share with the grandparents what is happening with the grandchildren.
We spent the weekend in El Do celebrating Mady's 3rd birthday and Lucy's 1st birthday Strawberry Shortcake style! Before the party festivities began I caught some shots of the kiddos playing. Dr. Mady was on call in case anyone got hurt while playing...
Lucy loves playing with her baby dolls
Lincoln is a musician at heart. He found the piano first thing and became a little possessive of it. Real men play pink pianos.
Our attempt to get all three cousins to take a picture together

Let the party festivities begin....
Lucy's smash cake
We loved getting to see how big Bryce has gotten. He still favors his sweet momma and I pray he always does.
Close up of the sweet guy! It never fails that my eyes fill up with tears when I think of her. I am so grateful God chose to leave a little piece of her here on this earth for us to enjoy.
Lincoln checking out how the bubble machine works
Lucy could not look anymore like her daddy if she tried!
A very tired Lincoln was not a fan of the slip and slide.
Lucy enjoying her cake...
And Bryce enjoying it too! :)
On Sunday, Cody's church celebrated the graduates which included himself.
Well our little guys just insist on getting bigger. I have tried to convince him to stay little but he ain't havin' it. This month he has started to look more like a toddler -- thinning out and getting taller. And perhaps acting more like one as well. :)
He weighs 25.4 lbs. and is 31.5 inches long (both in the 60th percentile which is the first time to not be in the 50th percentile EVER!) Gettin' big I tell ya!
He still loves to eat but it's more of eating half a meal, then getting down to run around and then eating the other half
He is wearing mainly 18 month clothing
Do not let this face fool you -- he LOVES this.to.pieces
He wears a size 5 shoe
He FINALLY gives sugars -- open mouth! The B.E.S.T. My favorite milestone yet.
He can do the "roll 'em up" with his arms during Patty-Cake
He got his first haircut this month
He has about 9 consistent words he says (mama, dada, hi, bye, ball, balloon, uh-oh, no-no, down (as in "down, set, hut" -- getting him ready for football season).
He is a MAJOR daddy's boy right now! I mean MAJOR. He wakes up in the morning saying "Da-da?" "Da-da?"
He still really likes to "sign" -- please, fan (twirling his wrist around), bath, more and food.
And he LOVES LOVES LOVES blankets -- chew on them, carry them around or put them on his head. They are by far his favorite toy and best friend besides his momma, of course.
1. I had to put 61.20 of gas in my Honda accord yesterday! I remember filling up my tank at Glenn's station for 12.00 dollars when I was 16. Feeling old!
2. I started a count down on my calendar for days left till schools out. 18 days left but since I'm part time I only have 12.5 days left!! Then my toes will meet the sand!
3. Cory and I have started watching the TV series Parenthood on DVD. Jury is still out what I think...
4. I have been in a blogging slump lately. I have some fun blog ideas running around in my head so maybe soon the slump will end.
5. Lincoln has mad dance moves! And I could just eat him up with a big ole spoon! - Posted using BlogPress
It is no secret that I am one blessed momma. I am blessed with the incredible opportunity to be Lincoln's mom. I still find myself watching him and thinking, "Does he really belong to me?" Crazy! He is such a fearless ball of energy whose philosophy is "the bigger the crowd the better." Cory and I are convinced he is a combination of our brothers with his extroverted personality. Not only am I blessed to a momma but I also have the privilege of having a wonderful mother myself. She has helped me tremendously in guiding me in my new role as a mom. And it is no secret that I give her a hard time but as I told her this weekend I was put in her life to keep her humble :) Although, a piece of humble pie is the last thing my mother needs! She has a true servant's heart and contrary to Lincoln's philosophy she believes the smaller the crowd the better!

Excited to show off my new snazzy watch

I heart this little man!
{We are also blessed to have a great Mother/MIL (for me) who takes great care of us and keeps us in line! We love you Mimi! See you soon!}
