Update on Lindsey

Lindsey's sister, Christina, has been kind enough to share updates with us on Lindsey's day. Here is what her sister wrote a note on facebook this afternoon. Since this was written I have received a couple of text messages from Lindsey so that is a praise that she is able to "see" to text! Good news on how the procedure went and now we pray for her vision to recover quickly and fully!

Here is the note from her sister:

I've been trying to catch up on the information Lindsey has shared here so far to know the best way to update you all. Here is my attempt at following up on what all she has shared previously. It may be several more days before she can share here or via text since she can't read small fonts well. Here you go:

The doctors began surgery at 8:15 and were finished by 9:00 ish. It was quiet the surprise since it was expected to take 1 1/2 hrs at the least. The neurologist and ENT were both very pleased with how the process went. The tumor was deflated and removed just as hoped for. After getting in there, they found a cyst attached to the tumor. The doctors were not expecting this, but it obviously did not cause any issues in the surgery. They were able to deflate it also and remove it. So, everything is totally gone - cyst and tumor both.Thank you for prayers. Praise God.

This does help explain more of her vision issues though. The surgeon explained that it was very crowded and there was quiet a bit more pressure put on that optical nerve than they were originally thinking was there. In having this all removed now, we are all hopeful in seeing her vision recover. It could take some time, and we ask that you join us in prayer through her recovery: that it would go without further issue and would be successful in complete vision recovery and pituitary function!

Thank you for being a community that has stepped up and surrounded her with sweet spirits, encouragement, & prayer. She knows she is blessed and thanks the Lord for each of you. We, as her family, do as well!

I will continue to be on here with updates. May God be glorified in all that is done through this.

Much love and thanks to you all,

Christina

Prayers for Lindsey

Our very dear friend, former co-worker to Cory, former roommate to me, bridesmaid in our wedding, my very own hair stylist for those times in my life when I needed prom hair, our photographer extraordinaire, our karaoke singing professional, the diva in our life, Lincoln's Aunt Z who wrote Where the Wild Things Are and most importantly a sister in Christ needs our prayers! This morning Lindsey will undergo a surgery to remove a benign tumor from her pituitary gland. Lindsey shares more details about the surgery on her photography blog. Please pray for Lindsey, her family, and doctors as they perform the surgery.
If you have a moment go leave her a comment that you are praying! Thank you!!!

P.S. For those of you who have prayed for Sarah and the removal of her tumor then click on over to her blog at Fries Family Four to read an update from Sarah herself.

Prayer for Sarah.

I have the privilege of working with Sarah in my job. She is one of the most joyous, free-spirited, fun-loving gals I have ever met. She is a fantastic speech-pathologist at the local high school and she works extremely hard to help her students. We also go to church at the same church but different campuses. I am asking prayer for Sarah b/c as of yesterday, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor on her frontal lobe. Please keep Sarah, her husband and two precious children in your prayers! Her family blog is here and her sister-in-law's blog is here with updates on Sarah's status. From what I have read, she appears to be in great spirits which comes as no surprise to anyone who knows her. We even text today about how I would take care of the M&M's in her office while she was gone! Love that girl.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Pray for Austell.

Austell, GA (a suburb of Atlanta) is the town where my brother and his family live and has been hit hard by the flooding. My brother is the pastor of a church there and several members of the community and his church have lost their homes to total flooding. Please keep these people in your prayers as they face the days ahead. If you want to read more, visit my sister-in-law's blog HERE where she explains her perspective and posted pictures of the damage. By God's grace, their home has been kept clear of any major damage but so many have not been so fortunate.

Pray for the sweet people of this area and other areas around who suffered such a great tragedy!

Prayer for Katie!

If you have not heard yet, please say a prayer for Katie Rowe. Katie and her husband Jason went to my high school along with her SIL (Shannon) who I graduated high school with. Katie is 26 weeks pregnant and was flown to Little Rock on Friday night due to a severe headache and loss of feeling in her right arm. They have since discovered that she has encephalitis meningitis. Katie is in a lot of pain. She has not made great progress since Friday so they are becoming concerned that maybe they are missing something. Please pray for this family!! Pray for Katie to feel some relieve from the pain, for the doctors to truly figure out the source of the problem and for baby Reese! Katie also has another toddler named Zach.

You can click on Shannon's name up in the paragraph or on her link to the link that is labeled "Bless our Nest" for further updates. Another girl that went our high school, Hillary, is writing some updates.

Thanks for your prayers!
