Pinterest idea {sort.of}

I too have fallen in love with the website Pinterest.  I one of those people that enjoys surfing and pinning but at the end of the day I have done very few ideas from the site.  I do love getting inspiration ideas and just seeing what is out there.  A few weeks ago Lindsey was in town to take Lincoln's 18 month pictures and she told me of an idea she saw on Pinterest.  She did not "pin it" at the time so she had to just describe it to me.  The idea was taking a picture of your child at a given age, editing it by typing on the picture (in say, Picasa or another software) all the things that your child likes are/or is doing at that age.  I am a sucker for any idea that will help me remember all the details of Lincoln as he grows up.  So I decided to give it a try.  A week or two after that conversation I was playing around with the camera and just happen to end up with picture with the empty space so it seemed like the perfect picture to try.

I really like how it turned out!  His face cracks me up b/c the flash is going off in his face which he thinks is hilarious.  He is just full of life, energy, smiles, happiness and determination.

Hello? Anyone there?

Yes, we are still here!  I have had several comments (in person) asking me why I have not blogged much lately.  The main reason has been a lack of time, slightly a lack of material and mainly b/c I needed a break!  I have learned after many years of working that August/Early September can be rough time for us.  We celebrate our birthdays, as well as starting back to school and finding our new routine.  I am completely spoiled over the summer having time to create a weekly menu, grocery shop, coupon, blog, spend quality time with my family, throroughly clean the house, etc.  And then one day you wake up and it's back to figuring out life as a {part-time} working mom.  It definitely hit me hard this year.  All that being said, I think we are figuring out life again and soon I hope to return to blogging about life, pinterest, family, and fall.   Of course, once I figure out this new blogger format. 

I have even been a slacker on using my camera.  Lincoln is becoming picky about not having his picture taken so a good picture of him is few and far between.  These are a few I have captured of him over the past couple of weeks.
