40 Years of Bliss

Over Christmas break my brother and I threw an anniversary reception for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. Their actual day is February 23rd but with most of our family living out of town we thought the break at Christmas time would be the best time for everyone to travel down.  We were so blessed to have a TON of our family come in for the reception.  All three of my dad's siblings and both of my mom's sisters were able to come celebrate with us.  

I am not party planner especially when it comes to throwing one for 100 people so I had to step outside my box.  We had it at the local community center in town, had brunch food catered, a TV to display old pictures throughout the years and a cake!  It was fun.  We estimated that between all our family there was about 75 people who stopped in.  It was fun to do something for my parents who have gone above and beyond to do so many things for us.  

Thank you Mimi for keeping up with Emery!  She insisted I hold her the whole Christmas break so it was nice to have Mimi entertain her so I could attend to the details of the party!

Mom and Dad - We are honored to spend this time to celebrate you both and your marriage.  We are so thankful for the legacy you have left us, our children and generations beyond.  We love you!!
