PINK

Slowly but surely the color PINK is entering our home.

Here is a look at some of baby girl's new things:

My brother and SIL bought our sweet little gal these things as a Christmas present!

My friend Erin bought our baby girl's these super cute leggings, bow and headband.  I can already see a cute Razorback outfit forming out of this.

We bought these cute little Carter's outfits at Sam's a few weekends ago.  The girl will need to wear something other than pink sometimes :)

And look at this mound of clothes I got from our hairstylist, neighbor and friend, Amanda.  She let me go "shopping" through some of Amelia's things and we are so grateful.  It is a great combination of sizes newborn through 9 months and across seasons.

I feel so much better knowing she will at least have somethings to wear!  Now she just needs a name and a room and we will be good to go!

Curls.

I continue to be in awe of Lincoln's curly hair. Neither Cory or I have ever had a curl in our hair so it is such a continued surprise. All I can figure is that he got his curls from my brother who has the wave/curl thing going on. I tell Lincoln often that his baby sister is going to be jealous if she does not get the blonde curls and his super long eye lashes too. I took some close up pictures of his curls after his bath tonight.

I just love every wave and curl. In only 19 short days he will turn the big 2 years old!! Crazy.

Will's Party {Chuck-E-Cheese, please}

Our former neighbors were in town over the holidays to visit their families who live in the area. We are so glad that their family lives here because we get to benefit from seeing them as well! While they were in town they had Will's 2nd birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. This was Lincoln's first time to experience the goodness of CEC. We have taken him to a local arcade a few times in our area and once on vacation so he has not been all that sheltered. Ha! Needless to say, he loved it and as soon as we put him down he knew exactly what to do! His favorite games were the one with the balls (surprise, surprise!) and the life-size horse that you could ride.

While Lincoln was playing Mr. Chuck-E-Cheese himself paraded through the games to gather up the kids.  Lincoln followed right in line with the kids.  They sang head and shoulder, knees and toes and he attempted to as well.  At the end CEC through out a bunch of free tickets and Lincoln quickly picked up his fair share and handed them back to CEC.  I tried to explain to him that he could keep them but he just wanted to help pick up.

Soon after we gathered up for pizza and cake while CEC put on a show.  Lincoln sat in his high chair but he never ate one bite of pizza.  He was too interested in the show.  He soon got down and ran around and even took some time to give CEC some "knuckles."

And was our first time to meet Will's new baby sister, Aubrey Jane!  She was about 2 months old at the party and all smiles!

I think that Lincoln's first trip to CEC was a success.  As soon as we got in the car he said "Momma snack please!"  I knew all of that running around would eventually catch up with him and it did.

24 weeks [baby #2]

The 24 week mark is here.  I feel like my energy has started to return to normal.  I am not having to go to bed at 8:30 every night.  I am making it to a whole 9:30 or 10:00 most nights!  Ha!  I am just starting to find it uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time.  I feel like my stomach is growing differently with this pregnancy.  It feels more long (up and down), but with Lincoln I felt like it grew more wide. I still feel sick most mornings and have thrown up about once every 2 weeks for the past month.  I am definitely growing. Big!

Lincoln on the left and Baby #2 on the right.  I think the different shape to my stomach is really noticeable in this picture.  With Lincoln I grew more wide but with this one I am growing more outwards.

As for the baby, she is a mover and a shaker!  I feel her move all the time.  Her movements seem softer but more frequent than Lincoln.  At my appointment this week, her heartbeat was 130 bpm.  Lincoln's stayed consistent at 150 bpm so hers is slower.  She also kicked the Doppler as soon as Dr. P put it on my stomach.  She did the same thing at the 20 week ultrasound.  I text Cory about it after my apointment and said "she is a feisty little gal."  His reply was "just like her momma!"  Such a hilarious man! :)  So far she only has a middle name but no first name yet.  We have a couple of names we have talked about but I don't think we are quite ready to commit!  Hopefully soon though.

I am in the process of picking out baby bedding.  I am leaning towards a yellow/gray/white color scheme with a hint of turquoise.  A modern look. Here is a sneak peak at her dresser that my step father-in-law so graciously painted for us this past weekend.  The color is called turquoise tint by Valspar.  It is really hard to get the exact color of it in a photographbut it is a fun color in person.

While we had it out in the garage to be painted, Lincoln pulled me in his room and said "Momma, where'd it go??" I was surprised at such a great clear sentence. Overtime though it became, "Momma, go?" with his hands up like he was asking a question. He is becoming quite the talker but we can only understand about every third word.  In one month turns 2 and I am just not sure what to think about that! :)
