Happy 4th Birthday, Lincoln!

Our little guy turned 4 years old and we celebrated in many ways! We had a family outing at the arcade the night of his actual birthday, cupcakes with his classmates at school, and we had a Ninja Turtle bowling party!

Lincoln is all-boy, all-energy, creative, talkative and a rule-follower.  He is leery of his surrounding and asks 100's of questions a day.  He loves playing superheros, chasing monsters and even pretend "daddy" to Emmy's baby dolls.  He has a big appetite, likes most food and is always drinking a ton!  He still takes a nap but goes to bed later b/c of it.  What can I say, I still enjoy a break in the afternoon?  He loves school and loves to learn. He is currently loving to draw our family in stick figures.  He draws the same picture over and over. The four of us - Cory is big, I am medium, Lincoln is small and Emery is extra small.   He is really into ninjas - especially Ninja Turtles!

His actual birthday was on a Tuesday.  That day I went to his school after the kids woke up and took the class Ninja Turtle cupcakes to share.  Lincoln was SOO happy to see me when I woke up.  I even brought him a birthday balloon which was the perfect gift for him.  He looks a little sleepy in the pictures since he had just woken up!

That evening he requested to go play arcade games at the place where his birthday party was going to be.  So us four went and had a great time. Then came back to the house and opened a few presents!

We love you immensely Lincoln.  We joke you have never walked a day in your life but it is true.  You RUN everywhere you go.  You can get up in the middle of the night, come to my room tell me your covers are messed up or you have lost your lovie and as I stumble out of bed to go to your side of the house you are SPRINTING to your room at 2:00 a.m.  Then you lay right back down and go to sleep with no problem!  It blows my mind.

You are determined and with that often comes frustration if you do not succeed the very first time. You must know everything about your surroundings.  You do better if you are the first one in the group and the crowd builds around you.  You do not enjoy walking into a big group.  You always have a sword in your hand trying to "fight" the monsters.  Your imagination is never ending.

You have a sweetness about you when you hug me, touch my face and say "I love you mommy."  You are fierce, yet loving and want everyone around you to be happy.  You are a great combination of tough and sweet.

We pray you find a way to allow God to use your determination, loving heart and investigative mind to further his kingdom by being a light in this very dark world. We pray that soon your heart will be softened to the gospel and you will begin to see your need for a Savior.  Your tenacity about life gives you the ability to be leader and we pray you always choose to lead others closer to God.  We know God has big plans for your BIG personality! We love you sweet boy!
