Big Cedar and SDC

In October we spent a few days in Branson at Big Cedar celebrating Mimi's retirement. When she retired in January her boss gave her a gift card to Big Cedar and she invited all of us along to enjoy it with her. Lincoln was so excited to see his cousins, Mady and Sushi (Lucy). We had a paper chain count down that he loved. When we first got there the kids were loving the balcony in the loft.

And as soon after we arrived Mady showed us a video of her "reading" a sentence which said "Mommy is having a baby!"  We were definitely surprised to hear that Uncle Cody and Aunt Gecka will soon be welcoming baby #3 into their home in early June!  We are excited to soon meet our new niece or nephew!

Next we rode the shuttle to one of the restaurants on the campus of Big Cedar.  The kids thought they were so big riding in a "bus" without a carseat.

Emery was lovin' it as well

On Friday we loaded up and bundled up and headed to Silver Dollar City for the day.  Here is the crew minus Cody and Billy Don.

All the kiddos bundles up and along for the ride.

Our first stop was Fire in the Hole.  To our surprise Lincoln was big enough to ride so him and Lucy rode with me, Cory and Uncle Cody.  They had no clue what they were getting themselves into.  Towards the end of the ride Lincoln said "I'm ready to get off!"

Soon after we found the gigantic ball pit with guns that shoot the balls and vacuum that suck them up and pour them down on your head.  This place was by far the biggest hit of the day.  After we left Lincoln kept asking to go back all day so we ended up going there at the end of the day again.  Emery and Poppy had a great time playing together.

Our next stop was the train ride.

After the train ride we found the kid ride section where we rode the teacups and the "dumbo" ride.  I got to ride with my nieces Lucy and Mady so we took some selfies!

Emery tried so hard to fight a nap and ended up laying with her head on the tray of her stroller so she could see all the action.  But she soon feel smooth asleep.

Cory, Cody, my father-in-law and I rode the Outlaw Run.  It is the world's largest, fastest wooden roll coaster.  It was SOO fast.  So fast that by the end of it you had no clue what you just experienced.  It was fun though.

This was the picture that the roller coaster took of us while we were riding.  We totally spent the 13.00 and bought the picture b/c it was just too funny of Cory.  He is all posing and he had no clue the picture was even being taken.  I mean, we were going like 67 MPH, so you had no time to think about how you wanted to pose.  Jeepers I laugh everytime I look at this.

The big 3 riding the swings.

And the big three towards the end of our day at SDC.

We had such a fun time at SDC.  I have had a hankering for a theme park and this definitely satisfied my need to ride a few rides!  Lincoln did not get a nap this day so he was asleep before we even left the parking lot!

On Saturday we spent the day shopping at the outlets.  We left town around 2:00 and both Lincoln and Emery fell asleep at the same time.  And so I napped as well.

We had such a fun time in Branson!  Thanks Mimi and Poppy for inviting us and our crazy kiddos along!
