Lincoln's Mimi bought him this Christmas bear back in November that recites the whole poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas. Lincoln is very much into talking/singing animals. So this bear did not disappoint. He has played it until, right before Christmas, the batteries died in it. I took a few pics of him playing with it a while back.
Giving the bear some sugars
He can definitely be "all-boy", rough and tough and always need a ball in his hand but he is a lover at heart that can show love and care to anything or anyone. When he first started daycare at 6 months his teacher told me at the end of his first day that he was a "sympathy crier." She said he only gets upset if another baby is upset. I kind of blew it off but this has remained true with him to this day. If we are out in public and he hears a baby or child crying he pats my arm and says "Momma, Momma" and makes this whiny/concern noise and points in the direction of the cries. I have to stop and reassure him that the baby is ok and his momma will help them feel better or he cannot let it go. It stresses him out to see others upset. I have jokingly said I hope that his baby sister is one happy girl b/c he is not going to like hearing her cry. This part of Lincoln's personality reminds me very much of Cory. I am definitely blessed with two sweet fellas at my house!
Saying "tease" (cheese)
Covering the bear up. He does this pose with his hands to show being covered up. One of his favorite things right now is definitely covering up animals and telling them "nigh, nigh"
Using the bear's hand to drive the car
One last picture together!
